Jamen Capital is a private investment firm and family office founded by Matt Spetzler that partners with music, media, and technology businesses and entrepreneurs to help them grow and scale. With a combined 50 years of investing experience leading media and tech groups at global private equity firms, our principals have invested in dozens of companies and helped create billions of dollars in value for the entrepreneurs and investors we have supported.

In music, our north star is to invest behind people and platforms that bring more value back to artists and IP owners, ultimately transforming the music industry. We have led more than 10 investments in the music and audio space worth over $5bn in value, spanning the worlds of music production, publishing, payments, labels, marketing & promotion, music IP investment and learning & education. We have been recognized by Billboard as a top music investor, serve on numerous industry boards and committees.

Across the broader media landscape, we have made significant investments and partnered with management teams across video gaming, sports, live events, AI creation tools and video IP.

Our specialty lies in helping businesses scale and rationalize strategic and operational complexities, supported by our flexible investment approach. Our investments range from hundreds of thousands to hundreds of millions, from direct equity to more structured investments and come with different levels of oversight and control tailored to the businesses' needs.

We aim to make a meaningful difference—not only in music and media, but in the world around us more broadly. We have pledged to donate 10% of our profits, as well as our time, to nonprofit organizations supporting children, communities, nature and the environment.
